My name is Adam Scura, and I’ve been programming games since I was 12 years old. It started out as a hobby, and now I’m lucky enough to do it professionally.
From an early age I learned to see the world through the eyes of an inventor. I apprenticed at my father’s manufacturing business, but instead of designing bicycle parts, I wanted to design video games. I soon learned to apply the principles of engineering to software design. By 16 I was running the IT Department at Scura Speed and Technology, and by 20 I was writing the software that ran the company. Since then, I’ve returned to my true passion. I’m now working as a contract programmer specializing in game development.
I often play tabletop games and card games. I know it sounds like I’m just having fun with friends, but isn’t it great when work and play are the same thing?
